Launched in 2007 with spectacular results, Craft in Focus is now inviting applications for their 2008 Desire show at Richmond Upon Thames.

The show will be open to the public on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 March. Set up will be on Friday 29 February with a Private View evening on Friday 29 February for exhibitors’ past customers. Exhibitors will be entitled to an unlimited amount of invitations to the private view. We are aware that Goldsmiths takes place in the autumn and feel that Desire is an ideal opportunity for jewellers and silversmiths to have an outlet in the early part of the year.

Venue
The event will be held in Queen Charlotte Hall in the prosperous London Borough of Richmond where property prices are the highest in the UK and the average household income is also amongst the highest. We have selected this venue as it is central to many exhibitors’ customer bases and is also easily reached from the more affluent home counties and by rail and underground from central London.

This event will incorporate a full shell scheme (grey Expoloop) to ensure the clean and uniform appearance to the show that is expected for this type of event. It will also be possible to rent display cases and lighting. Uniformed security will be present (24 hour cover) throughout the show and also during the build up and breakdown.

Our advertising will be widespread and will begin well in advance of the show to ensure not just maximum visitor attendance, but a quality attendance attracting those who have a genuine interest in your work. The event is being promoted nationally as well as in the local media. As we have organised previous events in this region, we will be mailing in excess of 25,000 people in the area who regularly visit our events and are aware of the quality of our shows.

The Organiser
Craft In Focus has been organising contemporary designer craft events at the top end of the industry for the last seven years. We pride ourselves on selecting only the very best contemporary artists and designer makers and our reputation has grown so much that our events have been cited as the best of their kind in the UK by The Independent. Craft in Focus has changed the way the public perceive craft shows and has gone a long way to reinstating the high quality image of Britain's talented designer makers. We now provide makers from all over the country with an opportunity to sell their work to an appreciative audience.

We hope you will apply to join us at this exciting new event and look forward to receiving your application. Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
